About Taxi Band

One of the most exciting bands playing in Toronto right now, TAXI is a versatile, modular band whose core consists of a 4 - piece club band, up to an 11 - piece coporate band complete with a horn section and choreography. Playing the hits of old and new, TAXI uses powerful lead vocals supported by the band's incredible musicianship and impeccable harmonies. Before coming together to form one of the most dynamic bands in the GTA, the members of TAXI played around the world, working with some of the best musicians in the business.

A regular on some of the most popular stages in the GTA, TAXI is renowned for the wide variety of music they showcase. From Pop, Disco, Rock, Country, Dance, Reggae and R&B, TAXI can play whatever the occasion calls for. These young, talented performers have appeared on stage in entertainment venues all over Toronto and the surrounding areas. Melissa Toronto born performer, Melissa Virdo has been singing and dancing ever since she could walk and talk. Melissa strong vocal abilities and wonderful stage presences make it very clear to any audience member that she was born to be on that stage.

Matthew Matthew has 18 years of playing experience. A product of the well respected Humber College School of Performing Arts, Applied Music Program, Matthew continues his education to refine his technique and expand his repertoire.
