Taxi plays Turning Stone Resort & Casino September 10, 2011 - Taxi traveled to Verona, New York to showcase at Turning Stone Casino. This incredible and beautiful facility was a pleasure to play at and offers great amenities, entertainment and food. Not to mention a fantastic venue for gambling and fun including Go-Go dancers! We're looking forward to returning to this great venue. Turning Stone Casino and Resort is a resort owned and operated by the Oneida Indian Nation in Verona, New York. The facility opened July 16, 1993 and offers lodging, golf amenities (on- and off-site golf courses, one of PGA quality, and an indoor golf dome), an RV park, multiple entertainment venues, a night club, many restaurants, a spa, table games (Poker, Blackjack, Caribbean Stud poker, Pai Gow poker, Let It Ride, Craps, Roulette, etc.), and many types of digital slot machines. The resort is a popular tourist destination in central New York State. |

Bier Markt October 8, 2010 - Taxi had an amazing gig at the Bier Markt Esplanade last week. Great crowd both nights and we look forward to returning to the Bier Markt soon! The Franklin Pourhouse September 17, 2009 - We just played our first show at this gorgeous gem of a bar. We had a great response and you really need to see this place for yourself... The Franklin House was built in 1855 by William Graydon and Peter Douglas. It was originally built as the private residence of Peter Douglas, who in 1859 went on to sell it to Bennet Franklin, a partner in Barber Brother's Toronto Woollen Mills. Following Franklin's death the building remained named "Franklin House". In 1877 the building was converted to a Hotel and Public House which eventually in 1910 under new ownership was renamed "Queen's Hotel". In 1927 it ceased to operate as a hotel with the enforcement of the Canada Temperance Act, but has continued to be used for commercial purposes. The building is said to have narrowly escaped demolition in 1979, and today The Franklin House is designated and protected under the terms of the Ontario Heritage Act. In 2008 The Franklin House opened it's doors, carrying on the tradition and paying tribute to the original building and it's history. |
